Our extensive experience in Māori legal issues ranges from Treaty claims and settlements, Māori land issues, resource management matters, through to local government engagement processes.
We have acted for local authorities in plan reviews to address tangata whenua issues, for tangata whenua participating in consenting and plan change processes, for iwi applying for customary title and rights under the Takutai Moana Act, and for Māori corporations and groups seeking to progress their own development.
Paul chairs Tamaki Makaurau Collective and the Tamaki Māori Manunga Authority and is the tangata whenua representative on the Hauraki Gulf Forum. Paul also is a director of a number of Māori businesses.
In 2010, Paul co-authored the Māori Values Supplement for the Making Good Decisions Commissioner Training Course. This was also presented a series of seminars on the Supplement around New Zealand.
